Forget it Kid, This is Redwall
While Redwall lies within the jurisdiction of the capital county of the same name, the city and regional governments are structured differently. The city is much older, and has kept its ruling traditions since as long as anyone can remember. Any noble house can put forward a motion to discuss in the council session. Each year, the city council meets for one week of debate and two days of voting on any measure. The city council consists of:
*The mayor, appointed by the council every ten years.
*A member from each noble house (eight total)
*Two representatives of “the people,” representing all other landowning peoples in the city. Typically at least one of these will also be a member of a noble house.
